Your weekly sessions will be done virtually and led by a Mental Health Professional.

Your counselor will book your weekly sessions, based on your schedule.

Sadness is a human emotion that everyone feels at certain times in their life. Feeling sad is a natural reaction to situations that cause us emotional upset or pain. There are different degrees of sadness. However, like other emotions, sadness is temporary and fades with time.

Unlike Sadness -Depression is longer-term. It impairs social, occupational, and other important areas of functioning. Left untreated, symptoms of depression may last a long time.

Symptoms of depression may include:

  • Persistent feelings of sadness.
  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Changes to sleeping or eating patterns.
  • Trouble concentrating.
  • Lack of interest and enthusiasm for things.
  • Feelings of unwarranted guilt
  • Feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness.
  • Frequent thoughts about death
  • Suicidal thoughts or actions

You may have some of these symptoms if you are sad, but they shouldn’t last more than two weeks. Suicidal thoughts are a response to extreme stress where we don’t see a solution. Very often suicidal thoughts are experienced with depression.

Week 1: Understanding what is Depression
Week 2: How to reverse the vicious cycle of Depression.
Week 3: Disabling Depressive thoughts.
Week 4: Mindfulness based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy ( MCBT) for Depression.
